Battle of Towton

The Battle of Towton was fought during the English Wars of the Roses on 29 March 1461, near the village of the same name between Leeds and York in Yorkshire. It was the largest and bloodiest battle ever fought on English soil. This reenactment is organised by the Towton Battlefield Society supported by the War of The Roses Federation

Manorial Court and Welsh Rebellion

Cosmeston Medieval Village is a "living history" medieval village near Lavernock in the Vale of Glamorgan not far from Penarth and Cardiff in south Wales. It hosts several small reenactment events every year in this unique setting.

Tewkesbury Medieval Festival

Tewkesbury Medieval Festival is Europe's largest free annual medieval battle re-enactment and fayre.

Kelmarsh Festival of History

The stunning English Heritage festival of history showcases 2000 years of history with over 1000 reenactors. Several members of St. Dysmas will be taking part supporting other groups.

Maccfest
- Macclesfield, Cheshire
This local event is planned to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the granting of a borough charter by Edward 1st in 1261.
The event also includes a steam fair, vintage cars and tractors, and various setpieces both in the town and at Gawsworth.
Sadly it clashes with the English Heritage 'Festival of History', but some members of the group will be supporting this new event.

Berkley Skirmish

This excellent event is organised by Plantagenet events, and takes place in the grounds of Berkley Castle. It's an excellent site, and attractions will include Jousting, a battle, a blackpowder weapons display and large market. St Dysmas will be putting on a living history camp at this event

Bosworth
- Market Boswoth, Leicestershire
The Battle of Boswort was the penultimate battle of the Wars of the Roses, the civil war between the House of Lancaster and the House of York that raged across England in the latter half of the 15th century. Fought on 22 August 1485, the battle was won by the Lancastrians. The War of The Roses federation are organising this reenactment

Mortimers Cross

Mortimers Cross is are relatively new event to the reenactment scene. We had an excellent time last year and hope to support this 550th anniversary event by helping to add more attractions this year, including a blackpowder display.
