Training activities
|
We welcome new members at training, as well as members of other re-enactment groups who don’t wish to join us but are in the area and want to train with us. However for insurance reasons we can’t allow people who turn up ‘on spec’ to take part, so please get in touch if you wish to get involved. Generally we train with less protection (and a more controlled environment) than at battle re-enactments, so we normally wear trainers, Jeans, sweatshirts, and sturdy leather gloves. Some of our members are interested in historical combat in it’s own right, and also train in other teqniques which are less relevant for general re-enactment, such as unarmed striking and grappling, or dagger fighting, these generally require more protection. |
